All rights, copyrights are owned by the artist.
What does this mean?
Once an artist creates a piece of artwork, they own the copyright to that piece. When someone buys an original painting from an artist, they own the actual physical painting. However, the artist sill owns the design/image. Copyrights for an artist, protect the artist so that someone can’t buy a painting, make copies and use the image for their personal or commercial use, other than the original painting hanging on your wall. If you would like to use the “image” from the original painting you purchased for other uses, we can discuss a licensing agreement.
